1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice (we sometimes use lime)
8 to 10 mint leaves
Sprig of mint for garnish
Instructions
Muddle the mint with the sugar and lemon at the bottom of a mixing glass. Pour in the Green Chartreuse, cover and shake for about 10 seconds and strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with mint sprig. Enjoy!
Notes:
Tory used brown sugar and limes for the primary syrup. She adds about 50% seltzer to make it more drinkable. Tory made at Sunset New Year’s 2012/2013.
Green Chartreuse has a pretty interesting background. It is a combination of 130 botanicals and the recipe is only known by the two monks who make this fantastic liqueur.
